Live in-person and live streamed from the stunning Ripley Chapel at First Congregational Church, Winchester on Friday, Nov. 15, Syldason, a duo concert featuring Sylvie Zakarian and Daniela Tosic, will take place, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Taking inspiration from their shared cultural heritage, Syldason strives to honor a long tradition of movement of people in search of a safer and more prosperous life.

Zakarian and Tosic grew up on the Balkan Peninsula in an era of relative political stability yet overshadowed by the heavy cloud of the Cold War. With this program, Syldason hopes to present shared elements of the human experience, bridging the space between us.

You will hear music in folk and classical traditions from a wide range of Balkan composers throughout the ages, including works by Gomidas, Hovhanness, Minkin, Radan, Tantchev, and Tassone.
