Winchester Police Department declares snow emergency, no parking ban

The Town of Winchester is issuing a snow emergency starting today, Sunday, Jan. 19 at 6 p.m., continuing through Monday Jan. 20 at noon.

During these hours, it is advised not to travel if possible. All parked vehicles are to be off the street on private property to allow for snow removal.

Any vehicle unable to be placed on private property can be parked at the Town Hall/Jenks Center parking lot or the Aberjona Drive Parking Lot for the duration of the storm.

Any vehicle not removed from the roadway during the emergency will be subject to ticket, tow or both.

Snow accumulations are predicted to be between 3 to 6 inches of snow.

For emergencies, dial 911 or contact the Winchester Police Department at 781-729-1212.

For snow removal issues, please contact the Winchester Department of Public Works at 781-721-7106.
