The following was submitted by the Winchester Public Library:

From May 1 to May 31, the Winchester Public Library will host the WAN group exhibit, incorporating the celebration of Winchester’s 175th anniversary as a central theme for the show.

Over the next few weeks, you are encouraged to consider the piece you will submit for the show and how it may have been influenced by your life in Winchester and your work as an artist in Winchester.

This first sign-up form is to solicit interest from members who would like to participate in the show, and hopefully volunteer to help coordinate some aspects of this collective effort. Please check out the volunteer section for ways you can assist in bringing our exhibit to fruition.

Please fill out and submit this “WAN at Winchester Public Library 2025 Sign-up form” by Saturday, April 5, 2025.

All participants will be asked to complete a second form (due April 15) with specific details about the piece they are submitting, as well as a brief Artist Statement (max. 75 words) regarding the theme of Winchester’s 175th anniversary, as life in Winchester relates to your art and/or your life as an artist.

Exhibition Dates: May 1- 31, 2025

Installation date:  Thursday, May 1, 2025 (12:30-3:30 p.m.)

Exhibit Reception: Saturday, May 3, 2025 ( 3-5 p.m.) Large & Small Conference Room

Take-down & Pick up: All artwork must be removed on Saturday, May 31 by 5 p.m.

If you are unable to come to the installation time, please make sure that your piece is dropped off at the library office before closing time on Wednesday, April 30 ( by 4:45 p.m.). It will be kept safe, locked in the admin office. Please attach your name and title on the back of your artwork.
