On Saturday, May 10, Winchester Unitarian Society brings its 2024–2025 concert series to a joyful, toe-tapping, foot-stomping close with a performance by Prince Edward Island’s acclaimed fiddler Cynthia MacLeod and guitarist Gordon Belsher in Winchester Unitarian Society’s sanctuary, 478 Main St., at 8 p.m.

Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will also be live-streamed.

MacLeod (www.cynthiamacleod.com) is one of P.E.I.’s finest ambassadors of Atlantic Canada’s vibrant music traditions, with a fiddling style that reflects her local roots, Cape Breton’s Celtic rhythms, and her ancestral connection to the Scottish Highlands.

Since the start of her career as a young teenager, MacLeod has performed across Canada, in the U.S, and around the world, thrilling audiences with her electrifying fiddling style and captivating personality.

MacLeod has released four critically acclaimed studio albums, and garnered numerous nominations and awards, including P.E.I. Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.

MacLeod and Belsher (www.guernseycove.ca) met in 2002 when she recorded her award-winning debut album “Head Over Heels” at Belsher’s renowned Guernsey Cove studio in southeast P.E.I. They’ve toured extensively since then in Canada and the U.S.
