The Winchester Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Lance Grenzeback has been named the recipient of the 46th Annual Citizen of the Year Award, honoring a lifetime of service, leadership, and dedication to the betterment of the Winchester community.

Each year, the chamber presents this prestigious award to an individual of local prominence whose contributions have had a lasting and meaningful impact on the town.

This year’s honoree, Lance Grenzeback, exemplifies the values of civic commitment, professional excellence, and community spirit that this award celebrates.

A lifelong Winchester resident, Lance is deeply rooted in the town’s past, present, and future.

He attended Winchester public schools, raised a family here with his wife Joan — a long-time educator in the Winchester school system — and watched their children follow in their footsteps through Winchester schools.

Lance served three terms on the Planning Board, two-term member on the Select Board and played a pivotal role in key initiatives, including the Wright-Locke Farm acquisition and the State of the Town initiative.

His dedication continues through his ongoing roles as chair of the Winchester Town Meeting Members Association and chair of the Board of Trustees of the Winchester Community Music School.

“Lance Grenzeback represents the very best of Winchester,” said the Chamber’s Executive Director, Dana Garmey. “His vision, leadership, and tireless commitment to improving our community make him a truly deserving Citizen of the Year.”

The Winchester Chamber of Commerce invites the community to join in honoring Lance Grenzeback at the Citizen of the Year Celebration to be held on May 27 at Wright-Locke Farm, from 6-9 p.m. The event will take place in the All Season's Barn at Wright-Locke Farm and will feature passed appetizers from chamber member, Chef Kim of A Borrowed Chef.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at www.winchesterchamber.com or by calling the chamber office at 781-729-8870.

Thank you to Winchester Savings Bank for sponsoring this special event and congratulations to Lance Grenzeback.
