The Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE) is once again honoring the extraordinary educators who make a lasting difference in the lives of Winchester’s students through its annual Teacher Tribute program.

This year’s celebration will culminate in a colorful display of appreciation: on June 20th, colorful flamingos will flock the lawns of Winchester’s public schools, each representing a donation made in honor of a teacher, specialist, or staff member. With a goal of 100 flamingos at every school, WFEE invites families to help cover the town in gratitude — and flamingos.

For just $20, families can recognize a teacher who has made an impact on their child’s year. Each flamingo is more than a decoration — it’s a message of thanks, a celebration of dedication, and a symbol of community pride in our public schools.”

Teacher Tribute donations support WFEE’s ongoing mission to fund innovative, inspiring educational initiatives across all Winchester Public Schools. These grants enhance teaching and learning beyond what the school budget can support — from new technology and classroom tools to author visits and creative curriculum ideas.

Families are encouraged to participate by visiting www.wfee.org to purchase their flamingo tribute and write a personal message to their chosen educator. The deadline for participation is June 19.

WFEE’s Teacher Tribute is one of our most joyful traditions. It allows families to give back to the educators who give so much, in a way that’s visible, meaningful, and fun.
