Please join the Festival of Correspondence at the Winchester Farmers Market on Saturday, July 19, as Letters Trellis recalls the annual summer weekend in honor of Madame de Sévigné, a celebrated French letter writer of the 17th century.

Each July her legacy is remembered in a four day festival in Grignan, France where she addressed hundreds of letters to her daughter about life and culture in Paris.

Stop by the Letters Trellis tent to see materials and photos from past festivals.  Then take a seat at our own “chambre d’écriture” on the Winchester Common and write a letter to a loved one or a friend.

As always, materials for this activity are supported by a grant and are offered at no cost to you.
