On Sunday, Aug. 10, from 1 to 3 p.m., Chabad of Wakefield will host the town’s first-ever Jewish Cultural Festival at the historic bandstand on the Wakefield Common. This community-wide event is expected to draw hundreds of attendees from Wakefield and neighboring towns.

The festival will feature live klezmer music, authentic Jewish food for sale, local community vendors and businesses, family-friendly activities, crafts, and more, all designed to showcase the richness and beauty of Jewish culture in a joyful and welcoming environment.

“This is a celebration of Jewish pride and tradition,” said Rabbi Sruly Brook, co-director of Chabad of Wakefield and organizer of the event. “In a time when antisemitism is on the rise, we believe the best response is to create something joyful, public, and unifying.”

Admission is free, and advance registration is strongly encouraged to help organizers prepare for the large crowd. Free tickets can be reserved at wakefieldjewishfestival.com.

Parking Information:
Free parking will be available across the street at the First Parish Congregational Church at 1 Church St. Once that lot fills, attendees are encouraged to park on nearby streets such as Main Street. Those who live within walking distance are highly encouraged to walk to help reduce congestion.

With growing excitement across the region, the Wakefield Jewish Cultural Festival promises to be a memorable summer highlight for residents of all backgrounds.
