More than 60 young musicians across 19 Eastern Massachusetts communities will enjoy the learning opportunity of a lifetime over the next two weeks at Rockport Music’s annual Cape Ann Jazz Workshop.

The workshop, now in its 10th year and second at Endicott College, consists of guest artist masterclasses, performances and more for students aged 10 to 18.

The workshop is ongoing through Aug. 8, consisting of two five-day sessions split by age and proficiency. Students will also perform six concerts between Endicott College’s Rose Theater and at various locations throughout the community.

World-class musicians provide instruction throughout the experience, putting it in a tier of its own. The program is directed by renowned saxophonist Alexa Tarantino, who Jazz legend Wynton Marsalis called “an indomitable force for expression, education and absolute excellence.” Other instructors and guest artists this year included Grammy Award-winning pianist Steven Feifke, Grammy-nominated pianist Christian Sands and more.

The following students from Winchester were enrolled in this year’s workshop: Gus Brykman, Daniel Lee and Liam Rittenhouse, all students at Winchester High School.
