Winchester artist Ruth Lieberherr, an avid open-water swimmer, presents “Living Water: Art Inspired by Life, Spirit, and Renewal,” an exhibition celebrating the transformative power of water.

Her love of swimming in lakes, rivers, and the ocean inspires her artistic exploration of water as both a physical element and a mystical, healing force. Lieberherr’s paintings evoke memory, mystery, and the quiet energy of natural waterways, while selected mixed-media pieces address pressing environmental concerns such as pollution and climate change.

The exhibit opens with a reception on Sunday, Oct. 5, from 2:30–5 p.m., and closes with a reception on Sunday, Nov. 16, from 3–5 p.m. The Cutter Gallery is located in the lower level of the historic Jefferson Cutter House at 1 Whittemore Park, Arlington (corner of Mass. Ave. and Route 60), with town parking behind the building.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Gallery Open with Artist on Site: Friday, Oct. 17, 4–6 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 24, 4–6 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 2, 3–5 p.m.; Friday, Nov. 7, 4–6 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 23, 3–5 p.m.
