Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries has opened an Attended Donation Center at the Winchester Elks Lodge on Route 3, 375 Cambridge St., that provides residents of Winchester and neighboring towns a local, convenient way to reuse and recycle clothing and household goods.

Goodwill, a community-based nonprofit organization, relies on these donations to support its mission: to help individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency to achieve independence and dignity through work.

“Every donation makes a difference and supports Goodwill’s job training and career services for individuals working to overcome obstacles to economic independence. Goodwill helps them find jobs and create new lives,” said Joanne Hilferty, President and CEO of Goodwill. “Goodwill is excited to be returning to Winchester."

Goodwill previously operated an Attended Donation Center at the Whole Foods in Horn Pond Plaza, which closed in April 2023 due to renovations to the parking lot.

The Winchester donation center will be open and staffed seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tax receipts will be available.
