Thank you for considering me to continue to represent Precinct 8 at Winchester Town Meeting. I have lived in Winchester since 2009. I am an attorney and have been practicing law at a small firm in the North End of Boston for 15 years. I served on the Finance Committee in Winchester for 5 years while also serving as Fin Com’s representative member of the Energy Management Committee. I have represented Precinct 8 as a Town Meeting member for over 10 years.

Through my years of service on Town Meeting as well as the Finance Committee, I understand the delicate balance of achieving high standards of living for our entire community through fiscally responsible policies and actions. As a Town Meeting member, I will continue to support the growth of our top tier education system, policies that support prudent affordable housing initiatives, and access to services for all Winchester residents, particularly through continued ADA compliance efforts and support for elderly residents.

I am available by phone and email to discuss issues that come before Town Meeting with residents of our community, especially those that specifically impact Precinct 8. I will collaborate with other town boards and committees when needed to gather information, understand different perspectives on issues presented to
Town Meeting, or to advocate on behalf of residents of Precinct 8.

My service on Finance Committee and as a long-term Town Meeting member provides me with the requisite experience to understand how budgetary allocations impact Winchester’s fiscal outlook. I will continue to use my experience to support policies and initiatives that contribute to the town’s needs within reasonable parameters.

Thank you for your support.
Edward Bopp
