Winchester skaters to perform at ‘Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey’ benefit

The Skating Club of Boston, New England’s premier center for figure skating, is hosting its annual benefit ice show, Ice Chips, on Feb. 28 and March 1 with headliner Olympic gold medalist and World Champion Alysa Liu.

Liu is a favorite to win individual gold (the U.S. won team gold on Feb. 8) at the 2026 Winter Games and this will be her first appearance in the United States after the games conclude.

“Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey” will be performed for three shows; on Saturday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. and one show on Sunday, March 1 at 1 p.m. at the Tenley E. Albright Performance Center at The Skating Club of Boston, 750 University Ave., Norwood.

Liu is the current World Champion, the recent 2025 Skate America Champion, and a two-time national champion, winning her first at the age of 13, making her the youngest skater to win the title.

“Ice Chips 2026: A World Journey” will also showcase a cast of local, national and international competitors, including 8-year-old Idun Osbom and 17-year-old Alysa Zhang from Winchester.
