The following was submitted by Winchester Jumelage:
On Thursday, June 11, Winchester Jumelage presents a delightful wine-and-cheese evening with Jessa Piaia personifying the well-known Isabella Stewart Gardner, intimate patroness of many artists, writers, and musicians.
An accomplished traveler and astute collector, Gardner was a leading figure in American social and cultural life. In Boston they called her the “Queen of the Back Bay.” Her palatial home, filled with her lifetime of treasures, is today the museum named for her.
Gardner visited Winchester. Among her circle of artists were our own Hermann Dudley Murphy and J. Foxcroft Cole, and these associations will form part of the subject matter for Piaia’s performance.
The event will take place the evening of June 11, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road.
Admission is $20. Seating is limited, so you are kindly asked to reserve in advance by email to mcwinchest@verizon.net.

Jumelage hopes to see you there!
