On Saturday, June 6, Bow Sim Mark Tai Chi Arts members will perform Tai Chi Chuan, Fan, Sword, Leung Yi, and Tong Bei at 10 a.m. at Winchester Common during Town Day festivities.

麥寶嬋太極武藝協會 成員表演太極拳、太極扇、太極劍、兩儀拳、及通背拳等。

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Chinese Wushu Research Institute
founded by Grandmaster Bow Sim Mark in 1976.

Grandmaster Mark, a pioneer who promoted traditional martial arts, has achieved international recognition. She is also an educator, author, and performer.

Her son, Donnie Yen, is a renowned martial arts actor and director. Although she has retired, her students continue to teach in the Boston area and around the world.

Dr. Cecilia Wong has studied Tai Chi as well as other internal martial arts under
Grandmaster Mark since 1979. Inspired by Grandmaster Mark's skill, elegance,
and artistry, Dr. Wong has been teaching Tai Chi for over 26 years.

今年是麥寶嬋師傅在波士頓創立中國武術研究所五十週年。麥師傅為武術
先驅,致力推廣傳統武術,蜚聲國際。她不僅是武術家,更是教育家、作
家與藝術家,畢生成就備受推崇。其子甄子丹,武術演員及導演,於國際
影視界享譽盛名。麥師傅現已榮休,而其門生則遍佈波士頓及世界各地,
繼續弘揚傳統武術。
自一九七九年,黃博士師承麥寶嬋師傅,學習太極拳及多種不同的內家拳
。深受麥師傅武藝的影響,黃博士教太極拳已有二十六年之久。
