WFEE Road Race open to families, individual runners

The annual WFEE Town Day Road Race is a family friendly event, with everyone welcome, including kids and pets. WINCHESTER NEWS FILE PHOTO

The following was submitted by the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence:

Lace up your sneakers and kick off Winchester’s annual community celebration with a 2.5 or 5 mile walk or run. Run as an individual or get the whole family involved, strollers are welcome.

The race starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Griffin Museum of Photography, 67 Shore Road, and travels through town, ending at the museum.

The Town Day Road Race is a fundraiser for the Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence (WFEE). All monies raised support public school educators and students through grants to encourage creativity and innovation.

Run or walk, the race is a fun, family centered event. The race is timed, but not certified, awards are given for speed. If you are registering as a family please click add participant after registering yourself.

Both the 2.5 and 5 mile race fee is $40 with a $4.35 sign up fee. Price increases to $50 after Friday, June 5 at 8:30 a.m.

All proceeds from the race go to fund innovative education in Winchester’s public schools.
