Remember that song “It’s Raining on Prom Night” from the musical “Grease?” Well, it was blue skies and warm weather on June 2 as Winchester High School’s Class of 2026 strutted their stuff before a gathered crowd of friends and family for the Promenade.

The Promenade is a tradition in Winchester, where members of the senior class walk “the red carpet” before heading to waiting buses that will whisk them to their Senior Prom.

Friends and family usually gather at the entrance to the high school to snap photos and take video of the seniors and of course, cheer them as they show off their gowns and tuxes for the evening.

Check out our photos from the event taken by our very own Peter Casey. If you have photos you’d like to share, email them to us at editor@winchesternews.org with the subject line Prom Photos.

And now, without further ado....the Class of 2026!

And finally, the prom king arrives with his escort!

But we couldn’t conclude the Promenade without a shot of these four who also wanted to give the red carpet a try! Can you blame them?
