Winchester Beat recently created a local news survey to gain a better
understanding of news interests around town and how local news sources can best serve the community.

All residents are encouraged to complete the survey and share it with friends and
neighbors, including people who may have moved from Winchester.

The survey takes about 5-7 minutes to complete, and responses are anonymous. It can be found here.

Winchester Beat is a local news podcast hosted by residents Jennifer Haefeli and Tara Hughes.

Recorded at WinCAM, it offers a quick roundup of local news and events and features occasional interviews.

Recent guests include Town Moderator Philip Frattaroli and the new Town Manager Chris Senior. The show launched in February 2026 and has released 16 episodes to date.

In addition, there have been two episodes of a partner program, Winchester Perspectives, which takes a more in-depth look at specific issues. A March episode focused on the State of the Town work and the proposed override, and an April episode discussed the schools and the school budget.

Find Winchester Beat and Winchester Perspectives on Apple, Spotify, WinCam, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts. The shows are currently on a break and will use the survey results to determine next steps.
