On Saturday, June 13, Winchester residents will host a PMC Kids Ride, from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at 44 & 46 Wedgemere Ave.

This is an annual bike-a-thon for kids ages 3-13 that raises money for Dana Farber/The Jimmy Fund. Volunteer opportunities for residents 13+

The ride is intended to both raise cancer awareness as well as get Winchester and surrounding communities’ students involved in giving back and being active in the community at an early age.

Just like the adult ride, 100% of all rider raised donations will go straight to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and used to support cancer research, patient care and families of patients currently involved in treatment.

Last year, the PMC raised $78 million for Dana-Farber and collectively the PMC Kids Rides were an important piece of that meaningful gift. In fact, the 2025 Winchester PMC Kids Ride raised $60,000, the most in ride history! That is REAL money that will make a REAL impact on the fight against cancer!

Organizers are hoping as a community that they can build on previous years' successes and push to give back even more this year!

Make the commitment to join this event because you want be a part of giving back and you want to help fight cancer! This ride is dedicated to all of loved ones whose lives were cut short by cancer and to those who continue to inspire us as they live with or have beaten cancer.

Cost is $25 for the registration fee and $40 fundraising minimum.

Virtual (not in-person) event option is also available.

Organizers would further like to say “Thank you to the neighbors that continue to welcome and support us as well as the WPD and DPW that keep all the riders safe on the roads!”
