On Friday, July 24, SCI Social Capital Inc.’s 2026 Summer Concert Series brought live music to Library Park in Woburn with The Swinging Ducks, an up-and-coming youth band from Winchester that performed a mix of jazz, oldies, and pop songs.
Over 125 community members of all ages enjoyed the live music and engaging performance. Parents danced with their children to the band’s cover of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” famous for the lyric “I love you baby.”
Audience members received pink cowboy hats and heat-shaped glasses distributed by The Swinging Ducks while the band performed their cover of the song “Tennessee Whiskey” by Chris Stapleton.
“The relaxed atmosphere, being outside, and wonderful music helped me be present,” shared one guest. Other guests praised the new series location, Library Park, for being a fun space for their children to play outside.
In addition to the music, there were activities including lawn games and SCI’s Social Connection Bingo. Each bingo card featured icebreaker questions to facilitate conversations with neighbors. Completed bingo cards served as a raffle ticket. During the concert intermission, one lucky winner was randomly selected to receive a pickleball set.
The series concluded on Aug. 7 with Renee and the Renegades (renee.fyi/), a band with strong ties to Woburn, bringing country rock and pop to Library Park.
