On Sunday, Sept. 13, Winchester Community Music School, 407 Highland Ave., will hold its annual MusicFest Open House & Auditions, from 2-4 p.m.
MusicFest is free and fun for all ages!
This musical open house features a school-wide instrument petting zoo, instrument demos, a scavenger hunt, and a fun opportunity to explore the building. You can try everything from a child-sized violin to a booming timpani drum with the help of current WCMS faculty and students. It’s like a musical maze to roam through — fill in your scavenger hunt card and win a prize!
WCMS will also be holding placement auditions during MusicFest for a wide range of bands and ensembles — all genres, all ages (kids, teens, and adults).
Plus, students of all ages can try a free class during Demo Class Week, Sept. 8–12.
