The Fast Forest is lush with some saplings 20 feet tall (and thick canopies with some bird nests). In fact, the plants have grown so much that some ID tags are cutting the bark and need replacing.
WIN Fast Forest is looking for residents who can come help replace those ID tags on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wright-Locke Farm, 82 Ridge St.
Winchester High School students will be helping with the work.
Please bring any of the following if you can: needle-nose pliers, plant clippers, gloves (if you have any), and iPhones with Seek or iNat if you have it (download it if you don’t).
The rain date for this program is Sunday, Oct. 4.
