The following was submitted by the Family Action Network (FAN):

On Saturday, Oct. 3, join the Family Action Network (FAN) for its first event of the 2026–2027 year, Families & Fire Trucks, from 10-11:30 a.m., at the Vinson-Owen School, 75 Johnson Road.

Rain date is Oct. 10.

The event is free.

Children will be able to see different trucks and vehicles from Winchester Fire Department, Police Department, Department of Public Works, Mobile Whinnies, and a special guest car: Lightning McQueen!

The Amushe Cafe truck will be selling coffee to enjoy as you walk around.  

This is also a great chance to renew your membership or explore what FAN has to offer. Click here to join FAN for the 2026-2027 year.

Parking will be available in the lot behind the school and side streets as the main lot will be closed for the trucks. If you have any questions about this event, contact childrensevents@fanwinchester.org.
