More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and nearly 12 million family members and friends provide unpaid care for loved ones living with the disease.

Funds raised through the Walk help the Alzheimer’s Association advance critical research efforts while providing free support, education, and resources to families facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias.

The Greater Boston Walk brings together individuals, families, caregivers, community organizations, and corporate teams who are united in the fight against Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Participants of all ages are welcome and can register as individuals or as part of a team.

As part of the event, participants are invited to take part in the Promise Garden ceremony, a moving tribute that honors those impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Each flower in the Promise Garden represents a personal connection to the disease and serves as a powerful symbol of hope and determination.

This year, the Walk to End Alzheimer’s - Greater Boston is expected to have about 5,000 participants and participants are working together toward a fundraising goal of raising $2 million to support the Alzheimer’s Association's mission.

Those interested in joining the movement can register, donate, or learn more at act.alz.org/GreaterBoston.
