It was the perfect weather — a sunny, warm fall day — and it drew families from all over Winchester to the downtown area for the annual Halloween Bash.
Families dressed up in costume to trick-or-treat at local businesses in the morning before heading over to the Trunk or Treat in the Jenks Center lot. Trunksters dressed up their vehicle trunks and offered treats to attendees.

Our photographer, Nicole Goodhue Boyd, was among the crowd, snapping photos and having just as much fun as those who came out. Check out her beautiful photos of the event.
Oh, and if you were in attendance or if you have some fun Halloween photos you want to share with us, send them to editor@winchesternews.org.

And, if you haven’t had enough Halloween, nearby communities are offering plenty of family-friendly, sensory-friendly and adult activities over the next few days. You can check out that list here or look at the Events on our website.
When you head out to trick-or-treat on Saturday night, stay safe. The American Red Cross offers tips for families on their website.

But if you’ve got no plans and are just hanging out at home, here is some fun Halloween trivia for you, as well as a spooky songs playlist and IMDB’s 100 Best Halloween Films for both the kids and adults. If you’re looking for a recommendation, we’re partial to the 1978 John Carpenter classic slasher flick “Halloween.”
Have a great Halloween, everyone. And stay safe out there!
