What experiences and perspectives would you contribute to Town Meeting?
Lengthy professional and non-profit experience, professionally as a private equity investor and business owner for 35+ years and from my non-profit service including leadership roles at the WFEE, YMCA Camp Belknap, the Endowment for Health (NH), St. George Chapel (ME), Phillips Exeter Academy (NH), and Amherst College (MA).

Most recently I have been serving on the Town Finance Committee, as a Town Meeting Member, and as a Director of the Mount Vernon House. I bring experience as a financial person from all of these experiences but, more importantly, I place heavy emphasis on teamwork, culture, and performance, and recognize that its residents are by far the most valuable asset Winchester has.

Winchester is a great community, which is why we moved here in 1997, and will require financial discipline to continue to thrive given the fiscal challenges ahead. Funds will need to be committed intelligently, i.e. a "smart money" approach will be required for us to preserve the high standards the town has maintained throughout its history.

What are two or three issues facing Winchester that you think are most important and what are your positions on them?
Schools, i.e. how do we continue to underwrite their strengths and diversity; physical plant issues especially Town Hall and Muraco, and preserving our high public safety standards.

What is a special challenge in your precinct that might not be faced in other precincts?
Possibly traffic i.e. using streets as "cut throughs", this introduces danger to young families, although that may not be unique to Precinct 5.

Why should voters elect you to represent them?
I am a concerned and committed town citizen and have invested considerable energy into all of my volunteer roles over the past 30 years; borrowing from a Boy Scout motto, I like to leave things better than I found them.
