What experiences and perspectives would you contribute to Town Meeting?
I have two kids who have gone through the wps system. I have been a town meeting member for 15+ years. I believe that it’s important to have a mix of experience on tm, and having members with history and context is imperative.
What are two or three issues facing Winchester that you think are most important and what are your positions on them?
Budget deficit: override proposed. I am in support of the override. I believe that we need to maintain our building assets, and continue to offer top level education.
Making it easy to do business in Winchester/attracting business: our tax base is largely from personal property taxes - it is import to encourage and attract businesses to increase our tax base.
What is a special challenge in your precinct that might not be faced in other precincts?
I am not aware of anything different in precinct 7 from other precincts in town.
Why should voters elect you to represent them?
I love living in Winchester, and believe that it is such a great place because so many people give their time to town government. I am the longest serving member from our precinct, and bring a historic perspective on issues. I would be grateful for your vote!
