What experiences and perspectives would you contribute to Town Meeting?
I have lived in Winchester since 1987, and my husband and I have raised our 4 children here. They all attended Winchester public schools. I am a lawyer and have spent my volunteer hours over the decades for the benefit of Winchester children, our schools, our library and our community. Together with other parents of young children, I was instrumental in the creation of the Family Action Network, and served for many years on the boards of FAN, WFEE, the Winchester Boat Club and the Friends of the Winchester Public Library. I have been a Town Meeting member for over 10 years. I am committed to supporting our community, our schools, and our natural resources in a fiscally sensitive way.

What are two or three issues facing Winchester that you think are most important and what are your positions on them?
Our tax levels and the coming override are clearly front of mind right now. But we also need to use our resources in a responsible way so that we can maximize community benefits for all of our stakeholders. Schools provide a primary community benefit that we all share, whether or not we have school children. I also believe that our community benefits from a diverse and affordable housing stock, and from maintenance of our open space.

What is a special challenge in your precinct that might not be faced in other precincts?
Precinct 4 contains the Brooks Parkhurst Town Forest, which is a unique resource that is now the subject of an environmental study.

Why should voters elect you to represent them?
I am committed, experienced and passionate about our Town.
