Mystic Valley watershed talk at library

On Tuesday, Sept. 26, the from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., the Mystic Valley Watershed Association will give a talk at the library. During this talk, you will hear about the watershed and what makes it unique, Mystic River Watershed Association's programs that are working to protect water quality, restore important habitats, build climate resilience, transform parks and paths, and educate youth and community members. 

The Mystic River Watershed is a living system rich in fish and wildlife, including one of the largest river herring migrations in the Commonwealth and the last remaining salt marsh in Boston. It is home to 500,000 people and 21 communities including Winchester.

Michelle Liebetreu joined the Mystic River Watershed Association in 2016 and now serves as the Deputy Director of External Affairs. In this role she leads the environmental education program, stewardship efforts and external communication and fundraising.
