The Elementary Literacy Study being conducted by the Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is nearing completion.

As part of the process, the Design Team met multiple times since April; anonymous teacher and parent surveys were administered, and 10 listening sessions were held.

Regular updates have been provided at https://www.winchesterps.org/literacy-study. An additional Design Team session was added Tuesday, June 25 as CES prepares to complete the report.

The final report will be presented to the School Committee at its meeting on Tuesday, June 25 at 9:30 a.m. at Winchester High School and made publicly available on the WPS website.

This will be the first time that School Committee members will see the report and have the chance to ask questions of the Collaborative. As with all regular meetings of the School Committee, WinCam will live-stream and record for on-demand viewing.

The School Committee agenda will be posted on the Town website (Government Meeting Calendar) no later than noon on Friday, June 21. As it is a regular meeting, there will be additional School Committee business on the agenda; however, the CES presentation of the Elementary Literacy Report will be near the top of the agenda.
