On Saturday, July 20, Wright-Locke Farm will hold a weeding event, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the farm, 82 Ridge St.

Come join the folks at the farm in weeding Winchester’s own “Miyawaki” or Fast Forest.

Volunteers will help pull up non-woody species, to make way for the native trees that will be planted on Sept. 21 This event is for ages 11 and up (17 and under must be accompanied by an adult).

If you would like to join, please first fill out this online form. This must be complete prior to volunteering.

Wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting dirty or work boots, and bring a water bottle...and a pair of gloves if you have them.

It’s fine if you cannot work the full time.

Parking is available at St. Eulalia’s Church, the next driveway up Ridge Street.

There will be other dates to help out if you can’t make this one.
