There will be a mini-planting and mulching of the Fast Forest at Wright-Locke Farm, 82 Ridge St., on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

It’s just a few hundred plants and mulching to protect the microbiome and plant roots. Please sign up here. Note: If you have already filled out a waiver, no need to repeat the process.

Please bring a bucket or other container to carry mulch.

Then on Sunday, Oct. 6, come see the forest and join in the potluck, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., at the all season barn.

Bring your own plates and utensils as the farm kitchen will be closed.

And still lost: A set of hand pruners with red handles and silver blades. If anyone has seen them, please contact Prassede Calabi.
