Winchester News has been accepted into the NewsMatch program for the second year in a row.

NewsMatch is a national collective fundraising campaign designed to assist communities in supporting public service news reporting. Individual donations to nonprofit news outlets are matched by national and local funders.

The NewsMatch matching gift campaign runs from Nov. 1 to Dec. 31.

In 2024, the individual match cap is $1,000 per individual and the campaign match cap is currently $15,000. Please make the most of your donation by donating to Winchester News during this end of year campaign.

Community matches by individuals, foundations, organizations or businesses are welcome during this period. If a funder (individual, foundation, organization or business) or group of funders is willing to match donations made to Winchester News during the NewsMatch campaign please let us know.

Any new recurring monthly donations, or increases to existing recurring donations, that begin during the campaign period will be matched at the 12-month value of that donation up to $1,000.

In addition, goal based bonuses are also provided to those participants that secure 50 or more new donors ($1,000) and if they secure $20,000 or more in community matches ($4,500-with smaller bonuses for lesser amounts).
