Boys basketball

The Winchester High School boys basketball team (16-3) defeated Belmont, 55-52 on Feb. 13, but over the weekend on Feb. 15, they dropped a 45-38 decision to North Andover in the annual IAABO/Board 27 Classic at Emmanuel College in Boston.

The Red & Black is scheduled to take on Newton North tonight (Feb. 17) back at Emmanuel College in the consolation game at 5:15 p.m.

As of Feb. 14, they are seeded sixth in the Division 1 power rankings.

Boys hockey

The regular season comes to an end for the Red & Black boys hockey team (10-10) with two games this week, when they are scheduled to take on Tewksbury today Feb. 17) in Watertown at 3 p.m. They will return to Woburn’s O’Brien Rink Wednesday night to face non-league Catholic Memorial at 5 p.m.

As of Feb. 14, they are seeded 11th in the Division 1 power rankings. The Top 32 teams make the postseason.
