Friends of Winchester Recreation to hold May, June events

The following was submitted by the Friends of Winchester Recreation:

The Friends of Winchester Recreation will be holding the following events in May and June:

• May 9: A Paint Night Fundraiser, featuring Seda Matevosian will be held at the Sons of Italy, 117 Swanton St., from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

The cost is $60 and includes materials, instructions and snacks.

There will be a cash bar for ages 21 and over.

• June 8: Pickleball with a Purpose will be held at Leonard Courts, with a June 14 rain date, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Events will take place at the following times:

Women’s Doubles: 9-11 a.m.

Men’s Doubles: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Mixed Doubles: 2-4 p.m.

Medals will be awarded for first, second and third places in each category.

Cost is $60 per player. Must be 18 or older to sign up.
