‘No Kings’ standout in Winchester — Join the nationwide call for democracy

Table of Contents

The following was submitted by IndivisibleWIN:

On Saturday, June 14, IndivisibleWIN will join activists across the country for a coordinated “No Kings” standout, a powerful display of civic resistance demanding accountability, justice, and the preservation of American democracy.

Participants will gather peacefully from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on the sidewalk in front of the Winchester Unitarian Society, 478 Main St., Winchester.

Everyone is encouraged to bring two or three friends and join with signs for a high-visibility action as passing cars wave and honk in support.

From IndivisibleWIN: “We’ve seen courts ignored, communities torn apart, rights under attack, and vital services slashed. But we know the power of the people is greater than any one person’s grip on power. We’re standing together to defend our democracy — no thrones, no crowns, no kings — just a government that serves us all.

“This standout is part of a nationwide movement affirming that power in America belongs to the people — not to any individual or dynasty.”

This is a peaceful event. No violence of any kind will be tolerated.
