Winchester cyclists, volunteers join thousands in 46th annual PMC Challenge for Dana-Farber last weekend

The 46th annual Pan-Mass Challenge is officially in the books. The two-day summer cycling event concluded last Sunday (Aug. 3) after raising more millions of dollars for cancer research and patient care at the world-renowned Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (Jimmy Fund).

Last year, the PMC donated $75 million to Dana-Farber, and was shooting for $76 million this year. By early Thursday morning, Aug. 7, it had already collected $58,450,282 million, but there’s still time to reach that lofty $76 million goal as individual donor pages of the cyclists will remain open for last minute contributions.

There were more than 10,000 riders and volunteers – 53 of them alone hailed from Winchester – participating in this year’s charitable ride around the Commonwealth on several different courses.

You can still donate money to the PMC by going online to pmc.org, click the donate button and type in one or more names of your Winchester friends and neighbors listed below, who took part in last weekend’s charity ride:

Sean Bannon, Tim Jarrett, Laura Kotzeff, Katherine Mackey, Isabelle Nace, Jessica  Nix and John Anglin also participated in this year’s PMC from Winchester either as a cyclist or volunteer.
