For these Winchester Youth Baseball Cal Ripken 2025 World Series All-Stars, the sport is more than just something they play on a diamond, it also becomes a part of their identity.

As teammates, they have shared familial experiences on the field as a result of participating in the Cal Ripken Tournament since they were nine. They qualified for and play in the 10-year-old Ripken World Series the following year, which also gave them an automatic berth to take part in this year’s August Classic in Branson, Mo.

Before the World Series, the team went 9-2 in the state tournament that included losing to the Milton Americans in the state finals in Lakeville by the closest of margins, 2-1. They then went 2-2 in the World Series.

Their coaches – Chris Gannon, Mike Moran and Andrew Statires – have been there every step of the way.

Once down in Branson, members of the team opened up to the Cal Ripken Babe Ruth officials. They expressed their thoughts on baseball among many other things, and here are their bios, courtesy of baberuthworldseries.org, accompanied by each player’s headshot.
