On Thursday, Jan. 22, the Jenks Center, 109 Skillings Rd., will hold a Sociological Book Group, from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

This book club at the Jenks, in partnership with the Winchester Public Library, brings a sociological and anthropological lens to the discussion of books.

This month, the club will discuss “Erasure” by Percival Everett.

A gripping historical mystery based on the real-life diary entries of Martha Ballard, an 18th-century midwife who defied the legal system and wrote herself into American history.

Limited to 15 readers, registration is required.

Books provided by the Winchester Public Library, 80 Washington St., and can be picked up at the library. Please call Jenks to register first at 781-721-7136.
