On Thursday, Jan. 29, the Winchester Public Library, 80 Washington St., will host “Make a Plan: Emergency Preparedness Workshop” in the large meeting room, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., with Lois Luniewicz, registered environmental health specialist and coordinator for the Central Middlesex Medical Reserve Corps.

Luniewicz has over 20 years experience with Medical Reserve Corps, emergency preparedness and public health.

This workshop will introduce residents to the Personal Preparedness Plan Workbook. The presenter will review the workbook with emphasis on: why do we need to be prepared, different types of disasters, sheltering in place, evacuation notices, pets and go-bags to name a few.

This will be an interactive presentation with explanations of recommendations and examples of situations, as well as opportunity for questions and personal stories.

Presented by the Central Middlesex Medical Reserve Corps and the Winchester Health Department.

Registration for this event opens Thursday, Jan. 8 at 9:30 a.m.
