On Sunday, March 1, join Winchester Community Music School for “Breaking Down the Blues,” a family-friendly, interactive afternoon program of blues music, beginning at 2 p.m.

The faculty has assembled a “Backyard Blues Band” to perform a fun variety of blues music for all ages — while exploring what gives the blues its unique sound and spirit. Band members include Tad Hitchcock, guitar; Rick King, guitar; Valerie Walton, saxophone; Carl Puglisi, drums; and celebrated children’s musician Wayne Potash.

Free admission; please consider bringing a non-perishable food item to donate to the En Ka Food Pantry.

This event will be presented live in Nichols Performance Hall at WCMS, 407 Highland Ave., Winchester, and also streamed live on the YouTube channel.
