League of Women Voters looking for resident questions for candidate forums

The League of Women Voters of Winchester will hold candidate forums on Feb. 26 and March 5 at the Jenks Center. The group is seeking candidate questions from the public.

The following was submitted by the League of Women Voters of Winchester:

The League of Women Voters of Winchester will hold candidate forums at the Jenks Center Cummings Room for all town wide offices with more candidates than open seats. 

Planning Board – Feb. 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Amy Beliveau, Keri Layton, Nicholas Rossettos (2 seats)

School Committee and Select Board - March 5 at 6:15 p.m.

School Committee: John Bellaire, Heather von Mering (1 seat)

Select Board: Shamus Brady, Michelle Prior (1 seat)

The League asks residents and Town Meeting Members to submit proposed debate questions to candidatequestions@lwvwinchester.org  

Submit questions for Planning Board by Feb. 19.

Submit questions for School Committee and Select Board by Feb. 24.

All debate questions will be composed with an eye to relevance, absence of bias, civility, and likelihood of eliciting an informative response from the candidates.

The League is also collaborating with Winchester News online to provide an online Voters Guide with brief profiles for all of these candidates, as well as candidates for Town Meeting.
