As part of its summer public art project, “Our Town” is exhibited around the grounds of the Griffin Museum, 67 Shore Road. Selected artworks will also be featured online.

The exhibition will be on display on the Griffin Museum grounds from June 5-Sept. 25.

A cherished part of the summer public art exhibition, “Vision(ary),” the Griffin Museum is pleased to present the fourth edition of “Our Town.” These photographs showcase the beauty and soul of the community.

Throughout New England, the town of Winchester, and surrounding areas, the exhibition highlights its people and place, visualized here with the creativity and sense of home as seen by its residents. From the local businesses and street corners, along every walking trail, and bike pathway, every part of the communities hold stories waiting to be told.

Through candid portraits, scenic landscapes, and snapshots of everyday life, the “Our Town” project aims to create a vibrant tapestry of images that reflect the diverse spirit of the town.

This year, there are two photo walks planned for the Winchester community and residents of all ages.

Join local resident and Griffin Museum member Lisa Spencer during two Sunday afternoon adventures, wandering the pathways of Winchester to create photographs that will be part of the exhibition.

Images from the photo walks will be highlighted as part of “Our Town.”

Join the museum and other residents on Sunday, April 19 and Sunday, May 24 for a walk around Winchester finding moments to be highlighted as part of the exhibition.

This exhibition is for all ages, all skill levels, whether you are a new photographer playing with your camera phone, hobbyist with a film or digital camera, or passionate amateur or professional, the museum wants you to share in your creative vision of your neighborhood.

If you would like to share your photographs, you may do so here. The deadline is April 26.
