Rising fourth-grader Mia Endo seems passionate about dance, and has danced in Boston Ballet performances for the last two years. Asked when she started learning ballet, the Vinson-Own student says, “when I was about 3-ish.”
She started at Winchester’s Enchanted Dance Academy.
“But when COVID started, I had virtual lessons, and also in hip-hop,” she says, “After my recital, I decided to lay low for a while. But now I go to the Boston Ballet School in Newton twice a week. Next year, I’ll be taking Classical 1 lessons.”

And she adds the class in two years will teach her on pointe.
“I was a reindeer when Boston Ballet did the Nutcracker — we reindeers have to pull the heavy sleigh. And this year, I was the page for the Lilac Fairy. We put Aurora to sleep.”
But Mia also dances with Kidstock.
“I was a mouse when I dance with them,” she says.
Multi-talented, Mia also played Wednesday’s boyfriend in “The Addams Family” at the Greater Boston Stage Company.
“It was singing role,” she says.
Mia says she “made a lot of friendships and when asked what she’s learning, Mia says, “I see great dancers who are really committed. I learned that if you commit and really work hard, you can get really good at something.”
