Rep. Kate Lipper-Garabedian announced the endorsement of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus (MWPC) Political Action Committee in her campaign for the 5th Middlesex District state Senate seat.

Lipper-Garabedian has also been awarded the 2026 Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction, recognizing her commitment to preventing gun violence and protecting Massachusetts communities.

“The MWPC PAC is proud to endorse Kate Lipper-Garabedian for state senator representing the 5th Middlesex District. Rep. Lipper-Garabedian has done fantastic work throughout her three terms as state representative for the 32nd Middlesex and will bring the same dedication and values to the state Senate. She is a fierce advocate for reproductive rights and the LGBTQ+ community. The MWPC PAC is excited to put our support behind Rep. “I am honored to earn the endorsement of the Massachusetts Women’s Political Caucus PAC and to receive the Moms Demand Action Gun Sense Candidate distinction,” said Lipper-Garabedian. “As a mom and legislator, I know how important it is to have leaders who fight to protect our fundamental rights, keep our communities safe, and ensure more women have a seat at the table. I am proud to stand alongside organizations like MWPC and Moms Demand Action that are working to build a stronger, safer, and more representative future for Massachusetts families.”

In the state Legislature of 200 members, Lipper-Garabedian currently is one of 10 legislators who are mothers raising children while they serve.

This legislative session, she was appointed as House Chair of the Special Commission on Emerging Firearm Technology, to advance the General Court’s efforts to ensure Massachusetts remains the safest state in the nation to raise children free from gun violence.

The MWPC endorsement and Moms Demand Action distinction come as Lipper-Garabedian continues to build a broad coalition of support ahead of the Sept. 1 Democratic primary, including organized labor, the District’s full state legislative delegation, more than 30 local elected officials, and organizations, including the Environmental League of Massachusetts Action Fund, Reproductive Equity Now, and Vote Mama.

Rep. Kate Lipper-Garabedian is a candidate in the Democratic primary for the 5th Middlesex District State Senate seat, which covers Malden, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, and Winchester (Precincts 1, 2, 3, and 8). The primary is Tuesday, Sept. 1.
