Winchester first responders show respect for fallen Lawrence police officer

Winchester Fire and Police showed their respect March 1 for fallen Lawrence Police Sgt. Charles M. Saindon, who passed away after a brief illness. 

Winchester Fire sent Ladder 1 with a flag to the Stoneham end of Forest Street Interstate 93 overpass as the remains of Saindon were being transferred from the Medical Examiner’s Office to Lawrence via I-93 & 495.

In a post on the Lawrence Police Department Facebook page, Provisional Chief William Castro said Saindon passed away after a brief illness. 

Saindon became a Police Officer in October of 2003 following his graduation from the Lowell Police Academy. He was promoted to sergeant in October of 2021.

He leaves his wife and two teenage children.
