Winchester News holding summer donation campaign

Table of Contents

Happy summer, readers!

Winchester News has made great strides in its two-year existence. We are always looking to increase coverage and improve where we can, but on a shoestring budget. There are still things currently beyond our reach.

As you know, we mainly fundraise at the end of the year during the NewsMatch campaign. This has always been successful and it helps us raise a majority of our funding. Though many of you do give regularly and throughout the year, which we greatly appreciate! We don’t want to be continually asking our readers for financial support.

However, if we are going to continue to grow and improve, we need more funding. It’s just a fact.

With that pitch, we have been lucky enough to find a supporter who has agreed to match any funds raised by September 1st up to $20,000! So any donation made during that period will have double the impact and keep Winchester News moving forward.

If you are able to make a donation, which will be doubled, please click here. You can also send a check made out to Winchester News Group, Inc. (a 501(c)(3) organization) to Alison Swallow, Treasurer, 109 Wendell Street, Winchester, MA 01890. If you have any donation questions, please visit our donate page.

Make the most of these summer days by supporting local journalism! Thank you.

Cheers!

Tara Hughes
