Serving on the Winchester Board of Health has been one of the most meaningful ways I have been able to give back to this community. Over the past 4 years, I’ve worked with dedicated colleagues, town staff, and residents to strengthen the systems that keep our families healthy.

My experience in public health has shaped how I approach this role: listen carefully, rely on evidence, and focus on practical solutions that make a real difference in people’s lives. That perspective has guided our efforts to modernize local health regulations so they are clear, fair, and aligned with current practice. Updating policies isn’t about adding rules—it’s about ensuring they reflect today’s realities and protect our community for the future.

I’m especially proud of the ongoing work supporting youth well-being led by the Winchester Coalition for a Safer Community. These efforts continue to address mental health and substance use concerns and strengthen prevention and education efforts. Public health starts early, and investing in youth is one of the most important responsibilities we have. Ongoing partnerships with the School Department will continue to advance these goals.

Local public health works best when it is steady, thoughtful, and community-centered. Experience matters—not only in understanding the science, but in navigating complex issues with transparency and respect. I remain committed to serving with integrity, collaboration, and a deep belief in Winchester’s future. I would be honored to continue this work.
