Indivisible Winchester launches with ACLU guest speaker at first public meeting

Indivisible Winchester, a new grassroots organization committed to protecting and strengthening American democracy, will hold its inaugural community meeting on Monday, May 12, from 6-7 p.m., in the large meeting room of the Winchester Public Library.

Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

The event is free and open to all. Ample parking is available.

The meeting will feature Olivia Santoro, deputy field director for Civic Education and Mobilization at ACLU Massachusetts, as the keynote speaker. Attendees can expect an energizing hour focused on advocacy, civic education, key issues and peaceful action.

“We believe that democracy is strongest when everyday people step up, get informed, and get involved,” said Eve Coffey, organizer of Indivisible Winchester. “This is a space for people of all political backgrounds to unite under a shared commitment to justice and democratic integrity.”

Indivisible Winchester is part of the national Indivisible movement, uniting local residents to support democratic values through civic action, education and community building. The group is open to all who are committed to equity, transparency and peaceful engagement in the political process.
