Winchester Co-operative Bank (WCB) is honored to announce the impactful results of this year’s The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign.

Every amount raised for the kettle campaign provides a lifeline for local families, including emergency food and shelter for individuals in crisis, utility assistance to keep homes warm through the winter, and youth enrichment programs and holiday gifts for children.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, along with WCB’s match of $5,000, the campaign achieved a total of $13,000 in contributions.

Mark Kellett, WCB’s President and CEO stated, “Thank you to our community, bell ringers, and fundraising efforts for your remarkable generosity, we are pleased to match your contributions. This partnership allows us to maximize the essential resources available to residents during their time in need.”

In addition, the Gordon Family organized an online fundraising drive that was successful and provided additional funding to The Salvation Army. Their efforts expanded the reach of the campaign beyond our physical branches ensuring that even more community members could participate in the spirit of giving.

“The Salvation Army extends a heartfelt thanks to the Winchester Co-operative Bank, the Gordon Family and friends, and the group from Elmbrook Place in Burlington for an amazing and successful kettle campaign this year!” said Wil Leslie, the Salvation Army service extension director, Massachusetts division. “It is humbling when we see the generosity of so many in the community in such a tangible way. The result is a new record being achieved through the money collected in the red kettles as well as the online virtual red kettle set up by the Gordon family and an additional amount matched by Winchester Co-operative Bank.”
